Every of Your Little Penny Will Lead A Healthy Life for the Elderly
Elderly in different stages have different health needs. So, the Haven of Hope provides various elderly services. For example, we provide nursing care services and the District Elderly Community Service for the frail and healthy elderly respectively. However, the society may not provide enough support for these services. Thus, the fund raised will be used for exploring some non-subvented projects, such as paying home-visits to singletons and hidden elders and improving their household facilities; purchasing medical equipments and rehabilitative tools in order to provide tailor-made rehabilitation and nursing treatment for the elderly; launching Chinese medicine health care project to enhance the physical and mental health for the elderly by. Thus, every of your little penny will lead a healthy life for the elderly.

The Haven of Hope launched a “Hundred Dreams Come True” Programme again, which was funded by “Centaline Charity Fund Limited”. The programme helped 100 needy people to achieve their dreams, and bring them hope. These people are those minority groups and neglected by the society, such as the elderly, children, the intellectual disabled, the patients and families receiving Comprehensive Social Security Assistance. We hope to fulfill the basic needs of their life and enabled them to feel our love.
Leave the Hidden and Gloomy Life
Granny Choi is a singleton. She was battered by her husband. Though she has been separated from him for many years, she has still been living in a shadow overhead. She is afraid of strangers and seldom communicates with people. She even stayed at the hillside alone. On the other hand, she always feels upset about the damaged household facilities. However, she doesn’t ask her friends for help. So, she hopes to buy some facilities and repair the old ones. In short, this programme not only eases her troubles, but also improves her quality of life which facilitates her to leave the hidden and gloomy life gradually.
“The happiest thing of granny Choi is that she realised there are still many caring people who use their money and energy to improve her household facilities as no one had done it before. She is delighted and touched when she looks at what she is possessing. Although she doesn’t speak well, we can feel her satisfaction from her happy face. (By Ms Ng, a social worker)
