As a Christian organisation, the Haven of Hope always places Christ as its centre and relies on the Lord by prayer. Our logo is a representation of this: the white heart represents two people bending toward the ground and praying face-to-face. In addition, a praying man can be found inside the blue area of the heart shape.
Sky-blue represents vitality, hope and cheerfulness, which complements our name “Haven of Hope”, and our core values of progressiveness and professionalism.
Formed by the letter “h” as seen in a mirror, with script font, it symbolises the Haven of Hope’s loving care philosophy.
Forms the letter “O” in the short form of “Haven of Hope”.
Suggests all-roundedness, representing the Haven of Hope’s emphasis on holistic care.
“At the Haven of Hope, before the patients went to sleep at night, I entered each ward, and following the rows of beds prayed for the patients one by one…In the dim light of the ward, I liked to sit by the damp pillows and chat with the patients, to tell of the God who cared for us all, even those of us with anxiety and difficulty. A short prayer putting trust in God or a comforting hymn often dried their tears and calmed their confused thoughts.” (《On The Barren Upland》, p.58)
Sister Annie Skau, one of the founders of the Haven of Hope, served the patients with dedication and showed natural affection for them. She blessed and changed many people’s lives through her loving care. She is Haven of Hope’s role model.
In tribute to her loving care service attitude and to define a clear service direction for the Haven of Hope, the service slogan, “With Love, We Serve and Care” was developed. It is hoped that with a simple, clear, but essential service direction, all the colleagues of the Haven of Hope can join hands together to serve people so that the lives of those serving and being served are enriched. It is hoped that what we do pleases the Lord.
The new corporate video introduces the health care, elderly care, rehabilitation and family services, as well as evangelistic work of the Haven of Hope from different angles, which includes inspirational staff experiences.
