What are the characteristics of speech developmental delay?

It means that there are delays in the starting point and the progress of speech development when comparing with the same aged-group children.

Characteristics

• Difficult to use language to express himself/herself and understand the meanings of other peoples' expression
• Speak unclearly which makes other people difficult to understand
• There are structural problems, missing words or grammatical mistakes in expressing a sentence
• Cannot use proper wordings
• Cannot give a proper response to people because they do not understand the sentence's meaning
