Dyslexia is a complicated phenomenon in the nervous system. There are many scholars trying to examine the reasons and solutions for it and no conclusion is found up to now. Actually, the Dyslexia is one type of Special Learning Disorder. British Dyslexia Association pointed out that Dyslexia affects many aspects of learning includes reading aloud, comprehension, copying and dictation. Dyslexia mainly affects the writing skills of the children, however, the abilities of speech, mathematics, music, muscles and organisation will also be influenced.
If the children always add or delete the strokes, imbalance the structure, divert the sides of the Chinese characters, or mix up with other words with the same pronunciation, weak in comprehension, speech, reciting or have difficulties in reading, the children may then have Dyslexia. Children with Dyslexia not only have problems in speech and writing, but also in organisation power, memory and concentration. They are not well-organised, have difficulties in tidying up the personal belongings (like pack the school bag and copy the handbook), have a confused mind and cannot handle the information efficiently (like forget the name and date easily). Besides, children who are diagnosed with Dyslexia should be first assessed with a normal intelligence and a same reading experience with peers.
