Someone said that a person with flat foot cannot be a 1st class runner because it changes the force borne by the foot and the legs, which affects the ability of the foot to absorb the impact force and release the impetus power and thus influences the result. In a long run, the joints of the lower limbs including the knees, the ankles and feet will be damaged. Therefore, children with flat foot always feel tired easily in their legs and the pain in foot, knees, waist and back of the body will then occur.
Foot is formed by 26 pieces of bone with different shapes, in which the 12 pieces of bone construct the arch of the foot. The shape of the arch is formed by ligaments and bones. The structure of the arch likes the vibration resistance system of a car. It absorbs the impact force and release the power like a spring, which this function cannot be performed well for the flat foot.
There are many causes of flat foot including inheritance, relaxation of the foot arch due to long term pressure, muscles weakness, knock-knee or foot tendon damage because of heavy-weight, etc. Problems in foot arch, scaphoid protrudes, heel valgus, foot tiredness or pain, tear or shape changes in the inner side of the shoes, etc.
