Prevention and Treatment of Bad Breath
- Paying attention to oral health: brushing the teeth every morning and evening, mouth washing after meals, brushing the coat of the tongue lightly if necessary, paying attention to clean between the teeth, using a dental floss or an interdental brush to clean between your teeth
- Visiting dentist for oral examination on a regular basis to determine whether the cause of bad breath is due to tooth decay or other oral diseases such as periodontal disease
- Having regular physical examination to determine whether there are any other problems which caused bad breath
- Avoid eating strong smelling food
- Drink more water and keeping your mouth moist
- People having dentures should pay attention to the cleaning of oral and denture, remember to clean dentures before going to bed and after meals and should not wear dentures when sleeping
- Avoid smoking and drinking alcohol
